Manjummel Boys OTT Release:
Movies that are becoming blockbusters in theaters now, it has become difficult to get into OTT. Already the movie ‘Hanuman’ is facing OTT difficulties.
And the news is going viral that another Malayalam blockbuster film is also facing OTT difficulties. That movie is nothing else.. ‘Manjummel Boys’. First released in Malayalam in some theaters in Hyderabad, this film became a blockbuster and was also dubbed in Telugu. It is reported that no platform is coming forward to buy the OTT rights of this movie which has become such a craze in theaters.
High Demand..
Manjummel Boys’ released in theaters and received a blockbuster response across the country. This movie has once again proved the power of Malayalam makers and it has been praised on social media. But that is not happening in case of OTT release. The makers decided to sell the OTT rights at a slightly higher rate as it became a hit in theaters. With this, it is reported that no OTT platform is coming forward to spend such a huge amount for ‘Manjummel Boys’. The news that the OTT platform is not interested in buying ‘Manjummel Boys’ has become a hot topic in the film circles.
Can’t get more than that..
‘Manjummel Boys’ collected Rs.130 crore worldwide. The hunt for this movie’s collections is not over yet. Audiences are still coming to the theaters to watch this movie. That is why the makers have decided to sell the OTT rights of ‘Manjummel Boys’ for Rs.20 crores. But it seems that OTT platforms are not interested in investing more than Rs.10 crores. Not only ‘Manjummel Boys’.. It seems that many other South movies also increase the OTT price if they get blockbuster in theatres. Now this movie is also following the same route.
Released in Telugu soon…
According to industry experts… if a film is released in theaters and receives blockbuster talk… the makers give a gap of at least two months to release it in OTT. OTT platforms feel that it is unnecessary to buy the movie with a fancy price due to such a delay. Due to this, not only for ‘Manjummel Boys’, it seems that there is no clarity on the OTT release of many other films. Directed by Chidambaram, ‘Manjummel Boys’ starred Shobhun Shahir, Srinath Basi, Balu Varghese, Ganapathy S, Junior Lal, Abhiram, Arun and Deepak in lead roles. The Telugu version of the movie is all set to release in theaters on March 15.
