Save The Tigers 2 Review: Save The Tigers Season 2 Web Series Review: Does the Magic Repeat?

Save The Tigers 2 Review:

Last year’s comedy web series Save the Tigers became very popular. This family comedy drama starring Priyadarshi, Abhinav Gotam and Chaitanya Krishna in the lead roles was enjoyed by the audience. The series became a hit with the theme of husbands showing frustration on their wives. Now the sequel to this ‘Save the Tigers Season 2’ series is streaming today (March 15) on Disney+ Hotstar OTT. And, find out in this review whether this sequel lives up to expectations.

Story

The second season of Save the Tigers will start soon after the first season ends. Dairy owner Ganta Ravi (Priyadarshi), writer Rahul (Abhinav Gomtam) and Vikram (Chaitanya Krishna) are arrested by the police for kidnapping the popular heroine Hamsalekha (Seerat Kapoor). CI Bhikshapati (Srikanth Iyengar) beats up the three to tell them about the swan. This news will go viral in the media. A channel rumor says that the three killed the swan. Ravi’s wife Haimavati (Jordhar Sujatha), Rahul’s wife Madhuri (Pavani Gangireddy) and Vikram’s wife Rekha (Devayani Sharma) will fight at the police station.

However, as Hamsalekha is safe, the police let Ravi, Rahul and Vikram go. Haimavati, Rekha and Madhuri go to Spandana (Sathyakrishna), a psychologist, because their husbands are not treating them well. She raises suspicions among them. What happened to those three families after that? Why do fights happen? How did MLA cheat Ganta Ravi? Has Haima’s wish to move into the gated community come true? What kind of difficulties did the heroine Hamsalekha face? What happened to Vikram’s family because of Harika (Darshan Banik)? Did Rahul become a film writer? They will be in Save the Tigers season 2.

This season starts with fun as the police interrogate Ganta Ravi, Rahul and Vikram as the heroine climbs the Hamsalekha. A TV channel enthusiastically shows that these three have killed Hansela. That fake news is spread wildly for sensationalism. Everyone gets confused. The makers have shown it satirically to the current situation. The three wives fight at the station to separate their husbands. Creators Mahi V Raghav, Advait and director Arun have generated good fun around these.

Haima, Rekha and Madhuri go to the psychologist Spandan and ask what they can do to get their husbands back to work. The answer is the Seven Years Itching Theory. However, it doesn’t sound that interesting. It would have been better if more fun scenes were written around this. There is a feeling that the story is slow for a while. After that, the scenes of Haima, Rekha and Madhuri partying are laughable. Especially Haima is main in this portion. Ravi blindly trusting the MLA when he said that he will give a carporter seat and giving huge money does not seem so convincing.

There is a rush in an episode saying that the stone age is 10000 years before Christ. How the concept of marriage was born, something shows that man brought this practice to reduce the dominance of women. However, it was not very successful. That track is not funny at all. The story or something feels dragged. Rahul gets into trouble with the neighbor’s pet dog and he gets a puppy. Ganta Ravi’s daughter’s function episode is also fun. On the other hand, the heroine Hamsalekha will face difficulties in her film career after breaking up with Vrishan Babu (Kirithi). However, the makers have shown how easily a heroine can be believed by some people and rumours. The final episode will be emotional. Trouble will arise for the three tigers.

A bit less fun

Compared to the first season, the dose of comedy has decreased in the second season of Save the Tigers. The drama is good but the fun is not as expected. It seems a bit dragged here and there. However, it doesn’t feel too boring either.

Emotional end.. even the third season!

The emotional scenes in this season are ripe. Especially the scenes between Ganta Ravi and his daughter are pleasing. Ganta Ravi talking to his daughter after the function is relatable to many. Daughter talking about Ravi in school is also pleasing. However, at the end Ravi and Haima have a fight. Harika also causes differences between Vikram and Rekha. It is also a bit emotional. Rahul’s work for Hamsalekha is also good. After ending the second season incompletely, the makers gave a hint that there is a third season.

Director Arun Kothapalli, creators Mahi V Raghav and Advaith also focused on drama and emotion in this second season. As a result, the second season does not feel like a comedy in the range of the first season. It would have been better to have written more fun scenes around the trio’s frustration over the wives. However, they succeed in making most of the parts engaging. The music provided by Ajay went well with the series.

Who did it?

Priyadarshi – Jordar Sujatha, Abhinav Gotam – Pavani Gangireddy, Chaitanya Krishna – Devyani Sharma did full justice to their roles. Satisfied with the performance. Especially Priyadarshi gave a good performance. Jordaar Sujatha impresses in the role of Gadsari who is right for her. Seerat Kapoor also did well in the role of heroine Hamsalekha. He looked emotional as a suffering star. The rest of the cast including Rohini, Darshan Banik and Venu Eldandi are impressive in their roles.

Finally.. Overall Save the Tigers season 2 is more than satisfactory. Even if the comedy is less compared to the first season, the drama will be good. However, in some places it is a good laugh. Close to nature. Many can relate. It is emotional at some places. It makes husband and wife think about their relationship. Overall, Save the Tigers Season 2 is a good option to watch with the family this weekend.
