PepsiCo ex-CEO Indra Nooyi:
Indra Nooyi, former CEO of PepsiCo, advised Indian students in America to be vigilant and respect local laws. She asked the students not to indulge in drugs and excessive drinking.
Be careful
A video of Indra Nooyi’s 10-minute-long speech was posted on India’s Consulate General X (formerly Twitter) in New York. In the video, he said, “I am recording this video to talk to you who want to come to the United States, or who have already come to the US for the above studies. Because I have read and heard many news stories about many examples of Indian students getting caught in unfortunate situations in America,” said Indra Nooyi.
Don’t go to dark places alone
“What you do to stay safe is up to you. But obey the law, don’t go into dark places alone at night. Do not take drugs. Do not drink excessively. All this will lead to disaster,” explained Indra Nooyi in the video. Former CEO of Pepsi Co Indra Noo said that students who come to America to study should choose their university and course carefully, studying higher education in a country like America will lead to a great change in career.
Be careful in choosing friends
“So, after you come to America, be very careful in the first months you step here. Be careful who you choose as friends. Make no mistake that you will encounter new customs and cultural changes here. Don’t misuse the freedom you have got,” suggests Indra Nooyi.

Danger with drugs
Indra Nooyi spoke against drugs like fentanyl. “It’s deadly. I repeat, it is deadly. Please do not engage in such dangerous and illegal practices. Do not approach them even for fun. Especially do not engage in illegal activities. Understand the laws in America. Laws should be obeyed,” he said.
