Travel platform MakeMyTrip had earlier taken a decisive step by suspending all flights to the Maldives after tensions escalated between India and the island nation.

Users have been criticizing MakeMyTrip for not taking the same action as MakeMyTrip during the recent controversy. Some are accusing it of having connections to China, even saying that Chinese officials sit on its board.
