The movie ‘Premalu’, which was released less than three weeks ago, is not doing well at the box office. If two straight films are released in competition, it will push them back and create chaos in the collections.
Directed by Girish AD, the film stars Naslen K. Gafoor and Mamita Baiju in lead roles. The Malayalam release in the second week of last month did not connect with the youth audience as usual. More importantly Tollywood movie lovers are ready to watch this movie in Malayalam language. Rajamouli’s son Karthikeya released this movie in Telugu due to the unstoppable demand for this movie.
This movie in Telugu got a solid response from the first day. Most importantly, Rajamouli and Mahesh Babu said that they enjoyed watching this movie so much that the audience queued up at the theatres. This movie, which broke even in the first weekend itself, created history by collecting more than Rs.10 crores in gross collections within ten days. So far, this movie has achieved a share of Rs. 12 crores and won a new record. So far, no Malayalam dubbed movie has bagged collections in this range.
The 2018 movie which was released last year achieved a share of approximately Rs.11 crores. Earlier Mohanlal starrer Manyam Puli collected collections up to Rs.10 crores. Meanwhile Premalu movie has now created history as Malayalam dubbing movie with highest collections in Telugu. Karthikeya bought this movie for Rs.1.50 crores. In this calculation, it is as if five times the profits have already been withdrawn. It is reported that this movie is going to be streamed on Disney Hot Star from March 29.
As far as the story of this movie is concerned…Sachin alias ‘Naslen’, who has completed his engineering, loves a girl in his college. But because of his shyness, he can’t tell the girl that he loves him, and he gets away from that girl. After that, he tries seriously to leave this love goal aside for a while and go to London. But his visa is rejected. With two shocks at the same time, he goes to Hyderabad for gate coaching with the help of his friend, not to stay in town under any circumstances. There, Renu alias ‘Mamita Baiju’, who is trying for a software job, falls in love at first sight. Meanwhile, Adi alias ‘Shyam Mohan’, who is already in love with Renu, stops Sachin’s love.
