Blast in Bengaluru: Rameswaram Cafe blast clue; NIA raids in 5 cities including Bangalore, wanted terrorists are the target

Blast in Bengaluru:

In connection with the case of Rameshwaram Cafe Blast in Whitefield of the capital (Blast in Bengaluru), the National Investigation Agency (NIA) officials conducted an early morning raid in 5 cities including Bengaluru.

Attacks were carried out in Shivamogga, Bangalore, Hubli, Tirtha Halli, Chennai in Tamil Nadu. The suspected bomber stayed at the lodge in Chennai for several days. In this background NIA raided and checked three places in Chennai.

A search was conducted at Soppugudde, Theerthahalli, Shimoga. The NIA officials, who had gone to Shimoga from Bengaluru, searched the houses of the suspects early in the morning. The houses of the suspects Abdul Matin Taha and Musawir Hussain Shaheez were searched.

These two suspected terrorists have been missing since 2020. He had held a meeting in 2020 to carry out a terrorist act in Gurappanapally. After getting information about the meeting, CCB raided. Later that case was transferred to NI. The NIA has registered a case and is investigating and the two suspected terrorists are on the NIA wanted list since then.

In the ongoing raid since early morning today, the houses of the suspicious persons related to Rameshwaram Cafe Blast are being raided and checked. The raid was conducted on the basis of mobile call records, contact with the suspect, suspicious activity etc. It is known that important documents about the explosion were found during the attack.

On Saturday evening, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) arrested two persons in Bengaluru in connection with the case. It is said that both of them were in constant contact with the blast suspects. The prime accused of the blast have already been identified as Muzaveer and Abdul Mateen Tahya. These accused were in constant contact with him.

On the background of technical evidence, it is suspected that he has worked as a sleeper cell along with both of them. It is suspected that he has provided shelter and other facilities to the accused in Bangalore.

Chennai link to suspects

NIA on the trail of the suspect got the Chennai link. It is also suspected that the suspect who planted the bomb came from Tamil Nadu and escaped to Tamil Nadu itself. It is known that he stayed in Tamil Nadu for two months before the blast (Blast in Bengaluru).

Another was found with the man who planted the bomb in the Rameswaram cafe, who was also with the suspect who was staying in Tamil Nadu. NIA has traced the trail of him before the blast. It was found that he was staying in a lodge in Tamil Nadu for two months. It is being investigated whether they were training here for the blast or preparing for a bigger act of terror.

The NIA has traced the origin of the hat the militant wore to hide his face while coming to plant the explosives. It is a hat bought in a mall in Tamilnadu.The suspect was accompanied by another person while buying the hat. During the purchase, the faces of the two were caught on the CCTV there. This CCTV footage has been collected by NIA.

On the other hand, the hair of the suspect was found in the cap thrown by the terrorist and it was subjected to DNA test. This important lead obtained in the ongoing investigation based on CCTVs is complementary to the further in-depth investigation of the NIA.

At the initial stage of the investigation, no picture of his proper face was found. He came in a KSRTC Volvo bus, entered the hotel, the videos of him going to the bill counter, carrying the semolina idli and getting down after the bomb blast were all found on the CCTV. However, in all that he hid his face with a hat. He was wearing a mask. So, his face was not visible.

The NIA had initially released the footage captured when he was at Rameswaram Cafe and asked if anyone has any information about this person, please let me know. Later posted a video of Bellary bus stand. However, it was removed from the website within minutes.

The NIA later released a bunch of four pictures in which the suspect’s face is almost clearly visible. It has requested the public to provide information if the person in the photo is found. Requested to provide information with phone number and e-mail id.

The NIA also detained some militants from Bellary and Shimoga, but it did not yield much result.
