DJ Tillu alias Bala Gangadhar Tilak, who has become a brand in DJing, organizes weddings and other events with his family under the name of Tillu Event. In this sequence, he takes over a huge event from an unknown person with a remuneration of 25 lakhs. Later, Lily (Anupama Parameswaran) enters Tillu’s life under unexpected circumstances in a pub.
An event for an unknown person has put his life in a difficult situation. Tillu’s life takes a turn after Lily (Anupama Parameswaran) comes into his life. What caused Lily’s pregnancy? How did Radhika (Neha Shetty) come back into Tillu’s life under any circumstances? Will Tillu complete the mission assigned by Lily to avoid going to jail? Tillu Square movie is the story of how Tillu came out of adverse situations.
Although Tillu Square started the film with the same screenplay that made DJ Tillu’s film a success, director Mallik Ram’s approach is good in connecting the film with new scenes and dialogues. It can be said that the plus point of this movie is that it is very balanced and well-planned without any experiment in terms of story, narrative and scenes. It can be said that the dialogues of this film have not only become very strong but also made the general audience laugh throughout.
And the team that followed the format of DJ Tillu in the first half, took Don (Murali Sharma) into the story in the second half and took the crime drama forward without any hesitation. The drama of Neha Shetty reprising the character of the iconic character Radhika is also a plus for the film. Another special attraction is presenting Anupama Parameswaran in a new angle that thrills the audience, not just a glamor role. The way the climax was handled mirrored the teamwork of Siddhu, Mallick.
Tilluga Siddhu, as usual, once again erupted. Also, high energy, once again impressed with his attitude. It can be said that the way the dialogues were spoken in Tapori language gave a kick to the fans of the movie. If you see Anupama Parameswaran in the movie, it is clear that her role was misdirected with trailer, lip lock in promotional events and excessive romance. Anupama gave a serious role in the movie.
Neha Shetty makes a surprising guest appearance. Although the character has a small scope, it created emotions and fun as long as it lasted. Muralidhar Goud, Marcus, Prince, Brahmaji, Murali Sharma and other characters have provided a lot of entertainment and content to the movie. Every minor character that appears is memorable.
When it comes to the technical aspects, the writing is the strongest for this movie. Only the way the dialogues and scenes were designed showed more strength than DJ Tillu. After that music is another plus point. The songs outside did not give much kick but… they gave a good josh in the movie. Another highlight is the production values.
When it comes to the movie Tillu Square… it is a delicious old tamarind paste with nothing new to discover. It has been cooked so that the old smell does not leave it. No matter how many expectations DJ Tillu goes after, it satisfies all of them. From the first frame of the movie to the last frame, we keep laughing with fun.
