Two football players of Himachal Pradesh-based Khaad FC, which is participating in the second division of the Indian Women’s Football (IWL) League, had alleged that the club owner Sharma entered their room on the night of March 28 and assaulted them.
However, a group of players claimed that Sharma was innocent.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Sandesh Chodankar told PTI that the Mapusa police arrested him under various sections, including causing hurt and using force against women.
Mapusa police station inspector Shitakanta Naik said he was in custody overnight on Saturday and was produced in court on Sunday for remand.
