Patiala Firl Dies After Eating Cake
Patiala Firl Dies After Eating Cake: Girl dies after eating online order cake; Health Minister’s irresponsible response.
The case of a ten-year-old girl who died after eating a cake brought online from a bakery on her birthday has shocked the public. The incident took place a few days ago in Patiala, Punjab. Health Minister Balbir Singh has ordered an inquiry into the girl’s death.
But the Punjab government has not taken this case seriously. Apparently, the food was not poisoned. How come only one child died after eating cake? Others also ate cake. Some are said to have vomited. But the minister also said how is it possible that the spoiled cake took the life of one person and the others did not even need to go to the hospital. The rest is to be known only through investigation. Health Minister Balbir Singh has said that the truth will be known when both the food safety and forensic reports are examined, which has led to public outcry.
10-year-old girl Manvi’s parents had ordered a cake online for her birthday. The cake was cut and distributed in the presence of family members and friends. In no time those who ate the cake fell ill. Manvi, a girl who was celebrating her birthday, ate a little too much cake. The girl was immediately admitted to the hospital but died.
The minister said that he has ordered a thorough investigation into the girl’s death. The food safety department has been directed to get the cake tested by the state food safety laboratory.
The girl’s death is painful
“I am deeply saddened by the death of an innocent girl and deeply hurt that she died on the day of her birth. Children’s lives are precious. Any family loses their children. I have ordered the department to carry out a detailed inquiry into the incident and submit a report to me as soon as possible,” the health minister said.
“The food safety lab will check the cake for any kind of poison. Also, the forensic lab is also checking. The rest of the cake was given to the authorities by the family. I have spoken to the family. We will check everything,” the minister said.
