The digital premiere date of the movie was officially revealed by Sun Nexts (SuNXT) on Monday (April 8). This movie will release on Tamil New Year.

Superstar Rajinikanth’s Lal Salaam movie will be streaming on Sun Next OTT from this Friday (April 12). It is special that Tamil New Year also happens on the same day. The movie was released in theaters on February 9. But it remained a disaster at the box office due to negative talk from the first show.
This movie, which was supposed to hit OTT within a month, is getting postponed due to unexpected reasons. Every week for a month there has been reports saying that the OTT release date of Lal Salaam is the same… But the official announcement has not come. Lal Salaam is a disaster
Lal Salaam, directed by Rajini’s daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth, has got terrible talk and collections from the first day. Produced by Lyca Productions, Rajini had high hopes for a guest role in this film, but it did not work out. Aishwarya, who picked up a megaphone again after nine years, was deeply disappointed by this movie.
Rajinikanth played the role of Moideen Bhai, a gangster in the movie Lal Salaam. He tries to check the communal violence in a village through a cricket match. He also wrote the dialogues for the film. He also did the movie promotions well. Music by AR Rahman. People like Vishnu Vishal and Vikrant acted in lead roles. None of these could save the movie.
Especially in Telugu it is very bad. Lal Salaam Telugu collections in the first week is only Rs.90 lakhs. Even if Tamil and Telugu are combined, the movie remains a disaster as the first week share collections are only Rs.13 crores worldwide. It has to be said that these collections are very bad for a movie made with a budget of Rs. 60 crores. And how successful this movie will be in OTT now; we have to see.
