Rajiv Ratan IPS in Telangana: The funeral of senior IPS officer Rajiv Ratan, who died suddenly due to heart attack, has ended. His last rites were performed with state honors at the Mahaprasthan in Jubilee Hills.
Many ministers including CM Revanth Reddy attended the last rites and paid their respects. The Chief Minister consoled the family members of Rajiv Ratan. It is known that Rajiv Ratan passed away on Tuesday due to a heart attack. Rajiv Ratan is currently working as DG Vigilance and Enforcement. Family members took him to AIG Hospital as he developed chest pain in the morning. He died on Tuesday while undergoing treatment.
Rajiv Ratan, a 1991 IPS batch, has earned a reputation as an efficient officer. Recently, he headed the vigilance and enforcement inquiry appointed by the government on the Medigadda project. Earlier he worked as SP Karimnagar and DG Pir Services. He worked in various capacities as Hyderabad Region IG and Police Housing Corporation MD. His sudden death shocked the police department.
