Haryana School bus Accident: A school bus carrying 30 children overturned in Haryana, killing six children and injuring 15 others.
A school bus belonging to GL Public School in Kanina in Mahendragarh district met with an accident near Unani village near the school. Police officials said the accident took place when the driver was trying to overtake another vehicle. The administrators are running the school despite the holiday on Eid-Ul-Fitr.
Injured to hospitals.
“We shifted the injured students to different hospitals in Mahendragarh and Narnaul. As the condition of two children is critical, they are being treated in the ICU. “Six children died,” said a senior police officer. State Education Minister Seema Trikha responded to the information about the accident. He immediately went to the hospital where the students were being treated and visited them. The authorities have been ordered to conduct a comprehensive investigation into the accident.
Drunk driver
Eyewitnesses alleged that the bus driver was under the influence of alcohol. Mahendragarh SP Arsh Verma said doctors are conducting medical tests on the bus driver to ascertain whether he was under the influence of alcohol. It was revealed that the fitness certificate of the bus expired six years ago in 2018. “We are also examining the documents related to the bus. The school management is yet to be contacted. SP said.
