Ruturaj Gaikwad Chennai Super Kings captain Ruthuraj Gaikwad has achieved a rare feat. He became the first Indian cricketer to complete 2000 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
As part of IPL 2024, Ruthuraj, who scored a half-century (69) in the match against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede venue on Sunday, received this rare feat. He got this feat in 57 innings. Ruthuraj, who has played 58 IPL matches so far, scored 2021 runs.

Even Team India stars Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma did not get the honor of completing 2000 runs in the fastest time in IPL. KL Rahul (60 innings) is the top batsman in this list for India so far. Universal boss Chris Gayle holds the record for fastest 2000 runs in IPL. Gayle scored two thousand runs in 48 innings. Shaun Marsh (52 innings) is next.
Ruthuraj Gaekwad became the fourth batsman to score more than two thousand for Chennai Super Kings. Faf Duplessis (2,721 runs in 92 matches), MS Dhoni (4,547 runs in 226 matches) and Suresh Raina (4,687 runs in 176 matches) are ahead of Ruthuraj. Currently, Ruthuraj has completed 2021 runs. He made his debut for CSK in 2020.
