Highest run scorer
Sachin Tendulkar continues to be the highest run scorer in ODLs and Tests in international cricket. He scored 18,426 runs in ODIs and 15,921 runs in Tests. Overall, Sachin has scored 34,357 runs in international cricket. Kumar Sangakkara is second in the run records in ODIs after Sachin with 14,234 runs. Joe Root is among the active players in Tests with 11,736 runs
Most Centuries
In 1998, Sachin scored 127 runs in an ODI match against Zimbabwe in Bulawayo on September 26. He created history as the batsman who scored the most centuries in ODIs. This is Sachin’s 18th century in the fifty-over format. Thus, Sachin broke the record held by Desmond Hynes. Overall, he scored 49 centuries in ODIs.
And in December 2005, during the match against Sri Lanka in Delhi, Tendulkar broke Sunil Gavaskar’s record by scoring his 34th century in Tests. After that, he scored a total of 51 Test centuries throughout his career. He still holds that record firmly in his name. While Sachin scored a total of hundred centuries in international cricket, Virat Kohli is in the second position with 80 centuries.

Best against very best
Sachin Tendulkar achieved better records in ODIs and Tests against Australia, who ruled the world cricket. Two centuries in ODIs in 1992, he scored 155 runs in the Chennai Test. Sachin scored 3630 runs in 39 Tests with Australia and 3077 runs in 70 innings in ODIs. Overall, he scored 20 centuries against Australia He continues to be the only batsman to achieve this feat against a single opponent.

Sachin holds the world record as the batsman who has scored more than a thousand runs in a single calendar year in Test cricket. Sachin recorded this feat in 1997, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2008, 2010. After Sachin Tendulkar, Brian Lara, Mattthew Hayden, Alastair Cook, Kumar Sangakkara, Jacques Kallis and Ricky Ponting have recorded this feat five times and are join second. Sachin had this feat in ODIs as well (7 time). How ever, Virat Kohli (8 times) broke this record.
