Balakrishna: AR Rahman has been the top music director in the lndian film industry for the past two decades. He takes the fame of Indian cinema to Oscar range with his music.
Rahman became the only music director to get remuneration at the level of star heroes. Rahman music has many fans in Telugu. Rahman reached the Telugu audience mostly through Tamil dubbing movies.
In Telugu Under Ten
the number of straight movies in Telugu with Rahman’s music is less than ten. Rahman made his debut as a music director in Telugu with Balakrishna movie. AR Rahman composed the background music for Nippuravva directed by Kodandarami Reddy starring Balakrishna as the hero.
This is Rahman’s first Telugu movie as a music director. A total of four music director worked for this movie including Rahman. Rajkoti and Bappilahari composed the songs… Rahman provided the BGM. Overall, this is the fifth movie in Rahman’s career. Rahman was the music director of Nippuravva along with Nachchi Kodandarami Reddy who liked Rahman’s BGM for Roja and Gentleman.

Rahman’s First-time music provided this Telugu movie failed to please the audience in theatres. Director Kodandaramireddy made the movie Nippuravva as an action entertainer in the backdrop of cool mines. Fans rejected this movie as it was a routine concept.
Apart from Nippuravva, Rahman provided music for only two other films in Telugu, Rajasekhar’s Gangmaster, Krishnamraju’s Palnati, Mahesh Babu’s Nani, Pawan Kalyan’s Komuram Puli.

Balakrishna… Vijayashanthi Combo….
Vijayashanthi acted as the heroine opposite Balakrishna in the movie Nippuravva. This is the seventeenth movie in the combination of these two are know as the most successful pair in Tollywood. It is noteworthy that this is the last movie Balakrishna and Vijayashanthi did together. Many attempts were made to cast Divya Bharathi as the heroine in the movie Nippuravva. But Vijayashanthi acted as the heroine as her dates did not work out.
Two movies released on the same day….
Due to an the sets of Nippuravva, the shooting was halted for several days. At one point, there was a rumor that the film was completely stopped. Three members of a unit died in an accident while shooting a scene in the backdrop of cool mines. Somehow the producers worked has and released the film.
Balakrishna’s another movie Bangaru Bullodu also competed at the box office on the same day as Nippuravva’s release .The release of two Balakrishna films in the theaters on the same day become a topic of discussion. Balakrishna is currently doing a movie with director Bobby. The films is being made as an action entertainer and is being produced by Sitara Entertainments.
