Delhi Bomb Threats: More than 80 schools in Delhi-NCR received threatening email, children were sent home; examinations were also cancelled

Delhi Bomb Threats:

Jagran Correspondent, New Delhi. On Wednesday morning, an email was received regarding bombs being planted in more than 80 schools of Delhi-NCR. There was a stir as bomb threats were received at many schools at the same time.

Delhi Fire Department said that so far more than 60 calls have been received regarding bomb threats in schools. Regarding this, Delhi Police said that no suspicious thing has been found in the schools so far, parents need not worry.

The number of schools receiving threats is continuously increasing. Apart from this, despite many schools not receiving threatening emails, children are being sent home as a precaution. After this there was chaos in the schools. On receiving the information, the bomb squad as well as the fire brigade personnel reached the spot and evacuated the schools.

Along with Delhi, an email regarding aa bomb being planted in a school was also received in Noida of NCR. Northeast District Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Jay Tirkey said that no information has been received about any threatening email from any school in the district yet.

Exams were also cancelled.

After receiving an email regarding a bomb threat, the children were sent home, and the exams scheduled for today were cancelled.

The email came at 7AM.

On Wednesday morning at 7AM, many famous schools of Delhi simultaneously received an email threatening to blow up the school. The school administration immediately information the Delhi Police about this. Delhi Police also got into action after getting information about bomb blasts in many schools. Along with Delhi Police, the fire department was also put on alert made.

On Wednesday morning, Mother Many Schools in Mayur Vihar, East Delhi received a bomb threat via email, Immediately, Delhi Police and fire bridge reached the school, and the school was evacuated. About seven schools in East Delhi received an email threatening to blow it up with a bomb.

Bomb threats were also sent to Delhi Public School Dwarka and Sanskriti School Chanakyapuri through email. Apart from this, Delhi Public Schools in Noida and Greater Noida also received bomb threats. As a precaution, the school management sent the children who reached the school home safely.

The school has informed the parents about this through messages and phone calls. All the schools which received bomb threats were evacuated and the bomb squad and dog squad searched every inch of relief when no bomb was found anywhere.

According to the information, the police had received this information from the school management late at night. After this, the schools informed the parents and asked them not to send back. No suspicious person has been found anywhere so far. Search is going on in these five schools of Dwarka district where such information has been received.

Threats have been received earlier too.

It is worth mentioning that this is not the first case of any school or institution receiving a bomb threat email. Such cases have been coming to the fore even before this.

Let us tell you that yesterday, Tuesday (30 April), mare than a hundred government institutions including Delhi’s Chacha Nehru Hospital were threatened with bomb blasts through email. Today, emails have been sent to many schools of Delhi at the same time.
