Two days after the announcement of the Indian team for the ICC T20 World Cup 2024, today on May 2, captain Rohit Sharma and chairman of the selection committee Ajit Agarkar addressed the media.

Rohit’s statement on the selection of 4 spinners-On India’s bowling combination, Rohit said that he wanted four spinners in the team for the T20 World Cup. He said, “I wanted four spinners and three fast bowlers, Hardik as the fourth fast bowler.”

On keeping Rinku Singh out, Ajit Agarkar said that it was difficult to keep Rinku out but an additional bowler was needed. This is the reason why Shivam Dubey was preferred over Rinku.
