ICC Annual Ranking Update Today:
The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the annual update of Test, ODI and T20 rankings on 3 May 2024. In this, India’s supremacy remains in ODI and T20, but the number-1 crown in Tests has been snatched away from Team India.
Australia’s team has overtaken India to reach the first position in the ICC Men’s Test Team Rankings. Pat Cummins’ team has reached the top in five-day cricket on the back of a spectacular 209-run win over India in the decisive match of the World Test Championship at the Oval last year.
Who is at what position in the Test rankings.
After the latest ranking update, Australia’s rating is 124 points, which is four points more than last year’s World Test Championship runner-up Team India’s current rating is 120. England’s team is at the third position in the rankings with 105 points. South Africa’s team is at the fourth position with 103 points, New Zealand is at the sixth position with 89 points, Sri Lanka is at the seventh position with 83 points.
West Indies is at the eighth position with 82 points and Bangladesh team is at the ninth position with 53 points. In the rating update, the ICC has taken into account the performance of the teams in the matches after May 2021. All results between May 2021 and May 2023 are given 50 percent weightage. Results over the next 12 months (including Australia’s World Test Championship final win) are then given 100 percent weightage.
No one is ahead of Team India in ODIs in the latest ICC rankings, Team India’s supremacy in ODIs is maintained. No one is ahead of India in this 50 over format. In the ODI rankings, India is at the first position with 122 ratings, while Australia is at the second position with 116 ratings,.In this way, India has a lead of 6 rating is at the third position with 112 points.

Pakistan is at the fourth position with 106 points and New Zealand is at the fifth position with 101 ratings. England team is at the next sixth position with 95 points, Sri Lanka is at the seventh position with 93 points, Bangladesh is at the eighth position with 86 points, Afghanistan is at the ninth position with 80 points and West Indies is at the 10th position with 69 points.
Inda’s dominance continues in T20
India’s supremacy continues in the limited overs format T20. Team India is at the first position in the T20 rankings with 264 ratings. Australia is at the second position. It has 257 points. In this latest ICC rating, south Africa has 250 points, and this team has jumped two positions from sixth to fourth position.
New Zealand is at the fifth position. Although this team also has 250 points lke South Africa, but New Zealand has played more matches. Due to this, this team is at the fifth position. Pakistan has lost two positions. This team is now at the seventh position with 247 points. Scotland 192 has reached the 12th position by defeating Zimbabwe 191.
