How to observe fast on (Narasimha Jayanti Vrat Vidhi)
The rules for observing Narasimha Jayanti fast are similar to Ekadashi fast. Eat sattvic food the night before Narasimha Jayanti. Take a vow of fasting in the afternoon on this day and worship Lord Narasimha in the evening before sunset, because Vishnu ji appeared in this incarnation at the time of sunset.
Consumption of all types of grains and cereals is prohibited during Narasimha Jayanti fast. Do not get angry and do not sleep during the fast. Break this fast the next day after sunrise when Chaturdashi Tithi ends.

Narasimha Jayanti Puja Vidhi
- After taking bath in the evening. Keep rice at the place of worship and keep the Kalash and the idol or picture of Lord Narasimha.
- Anoint the Lord with Panchamrit, milk and Gangajal,. Offer yellow cloth to the Lord Apply Sandalwood paste to the Lord. Keep chanting the mantra.
- Offer all kinds of worship material including Akshant, Roli, flowers and Tulsi leaves.
- Offering peacock feather to Lord Narasimha on this day removes Kalsarpa Dosh.
- Curd is offered on Narasimha Jayanti. Offer Naivedya, recite Narasimha Chalisa and Katha. Finally, perform Aarti and donate yellow things.
