Chasing this, Australia’s team could only score 127 runs.

Afghanistan’s brilliant batting
After losing the toss in the match, Afghanistan’s team, batting first, started cautiously. The team scored only 40 runs in the first 6 overs although the team did not lose any wicket. The team’s innings continued slowly for 10 overs, and they were able to score only 66 runs although they still had 10 wickets in hand. In such a situation, both set batsmen Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Zadran started scoring runs quickly. The team touched the 100 marks in 14 overs. After this, Gurbaz was out in the 16th over and the wickets started falling continuously. No batsman was able to score more runs further and the team was able to score only 148 runs.
Gulbadin Naib snatched the match from Australia
Chasing this small target, Australia lost 3 big wickets in the powerplay itself. However, later Glenn Maxwell and Marcus Stoinis gave Australia the upper hand with a great partnership. Both were scoring runs continuously. In such a situation, Afghanistan brought the 8th bowler in the form of Gulbadin Naib. Gulbadin took the wicket of Marcus Stoinis as soon as he came. But Maxwell did not stop after this. He scored a half-century and was leading the team towards victory, but Gulbadin Naib shone once again and turned the match around by dismissing Maxwell.
