The Indian women’s team once again showed complete dominance over South Africa. The Safari team has done well with an all-round performance. Team India won the third ODI and swept the series 3-0. Alavoka shined with victory in third match. In the third ODI held at Bangalore today (June 23), Team India won by 6 wickets against the South Africa women’s team. 56 balls left to win.

 Mandhana shined again……Miss century in a bit

India’s star opener Smriti Mandhana, who scored centuries in the first two matches of this series against South Africa, played brilliantly in the third ODI as well. Mandhana made a splash in breaking the target of 216 runs. Smriti Mandhana scored 90 runs in 83 balls. 11 fours at once. However, Mandhana missed the hat-trick century. She was dismissed in the 31st over. Disappointed with this, he joined the pavilion. However, India was already brought close to victory.

India scored 220 runs for 4 wickets in 40.4 overs. First, young opener Shefali Verma (25) and Priya Punia (28) stood for a while. Played consistently. However, at the other end, Smriti Mandhana played aggressively from the star. With this, the goal is melting. Shefali, Priya out…. but Smriti did not reduce any aggression.

After that captain Harman Preet Kaur (42 off 48 balls) excelled once again for Smriti. However, Smriti got out in the 31st over at a personal score of 90 runs. Even if the openers excelled……

South Africa won the toss and batted first in this match. Could only manage 215 runs for 8 wickets in allotted 50 overs. Opening captain Laura Wolvaardt (61) excelled with a half-century. Another opener Tazmin Britz (38) did not seem to mind. However, the rest of the batters failed. Indian bowlers could not run fast. At the end, Nadine de Klerk (26) and Dee Ridder (26 not out) stood for a while and that was the score.

Among the Indian bowlers, Arundhati Roy and Deepti Sharma excelled with two wickets each. Shreyanka Patil and Pooja Vastrakar took a wicket each.

Mandhana has two more records

Indian star Smriti Mandhana scored 343 runs in this series against South Africa. With this, Smriti achieved the world record as the women cricketer who scored the most runs in a three ODI series. The records held by South African player Laura Wolvaardt (335 runs against Sri Lanka in 2024) has passed away.

Smriti Mandhana also created a record as the Indian women cricketer who scored the most runs in a bilateral ODI series. She scored a total of 343 runs in this series. With this, Smriti surpassed Jaya Sharma (309 runs in the series against New Zealand in 2004).

The Test match between India and South Africa women’s teams will start on June 28. this test will be held in Chennai.
