The case of NEET paper leak has now reached the CBI: The CBI has registered a case in this matter and investigation has been started. Its connection is being linked to many states. In this report, understand in 10 points what has happened in Bihar so far in the paper leak case. How many people have been arrested and what will happen next. First of all, know that the NEET paper leak case came to light from Bihar’s capital Patna. NEET exam was held across the country on 5 May.

  1. Patna Police got information about the disturbance on May 5. The police had received information about some people in the duster car of Jharkhand number. The police and three people Sikandar Yadavendu, Akhilesh Kumar and Bittu Kumar were caught from the car. Admit cards of four candidates were found from the car. Sikandar had set up from these four.
  2. Sikandar had named Sanjeev Singh Rocky, Nitish and Amit Anand. These people were members of the same gang. In this case, Shastri Nagar police station got involved in further action by registering case number 358/24.
  3. After interrogating the arrested people, raids were conducted at Learn Play School and Hostel in Khemnichak area of Patna. Half-burnt question papers of NEET were found from here. In the same school, the students of NEET were brought on the night of May 4 and answered by giving question papers.
  4. After this, all the accused also confessed in front of the police that how and for how much money the deal was done. Somebody’s father did the deal, somebody’s uncle called a child from Kota and did the deal.

  1. The investigation of this case was handed over to the Economic Offences Unit. The team started the investigation. Soon 13 people were arrested. On May 17, the Economic Offences Unit started the investigation.
  2. After this, the Economic Offences Unit arrested two of the the main masterminds of Learn Play School. Based on their information, three people were arrested from a farm house in Devipur, Deoghar. The EOU officials gathered information that the paper leak case is connected to the gang of professional criminal Sanjeev Kumar alias Lutan Mukhiya.
  3. The EOU came to know that the students were dropped off in a car two kilometers away from Learn Play School. From there, they reached the social on foot where they were to stay on the night of May 4. The driver and owner of the car in which they were brought, Mukesh Kumar, was arrested. According to the EOU, details of the roll codes of 15  candidates have been received from NTA )National Testing Agency) so far, in which five candidates have been questioned.
  4. On investigation of the half-burnt question paper found from Learn Play School, it was found that its serial code is of Oasis School of Hazaribagh where NEET center was located. After this, the EOU arrested five more people from Deoghar. In this way, 18 people have been arrested in Bihar so far. All the five accused arrested from Deoghar are residents of Nalanda district. Ashutosh Kumar, the tenant of the house where the children were staying in Learn Play School, is a resident of Daniyawan in Patna.
  5. On Monday (June 24), a two-member team reached Patna. Went to the office of Economic Offenses Unit. EOU will hand over all the documents related to the case so far to CBI. Earlier, CBI has registered  a case in this matter, CBI will now investigate the NEET paper leak.
  6. There are many things in this case including pieces of burnt question paper, mobile phones, statements of people, laptops. CBI officials can also take the arrested accused to Delhi for interrogation by taking transit remand from the court.
