Indigo Flights
Going to Abu Dhabi is going to be easier for Indians, especially South Indians. Private airline IndiGo has announced that it will start a new direct flight route between Bengaluru-Abu Dhabi route from August 1.
Indigo Airlines plans to operate six flights per week on this Bangalore – Abu Dhabi route. IndiGo said the decision was taken with an aim to attract international tourists to Bengaluru besides serving Indian passengers.
From Bangalore at 9.25 pm
Indigo Airlines has revealed that this new flight number 1438 will depart from Bangalore at 9.25 pm every day of the week except Tuesday and reach Abu Dhabi at 11.30 pm. Well, except for Wednesday. On all other days of the week, flight 6E 1439 departs from Abu Dhabi at 12.30 midnight every day and lands at Bangalore’s Kempegowda International Airport at 5.45 am the next day. Indigo has said that the main objective of starting this flight service is to increase connectivity between Bengaluru, the Silicon Valley of India, and the capital of the United Arab Emirates, and to accommodate business and tourism passengers.
In 10 cities of India
With the launch of this route, IndiGo has increased its fleet to 75 serving 10 cities in India. Bengaluru is the 10th city in Indigo’s network offering direct flights between Abu Dhabi and India. With these flights, IndiGo will offer 75 weekly frequencies to Abu Dhabi and over 220 frequencies to UAE,” said Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo.
