The world-famous Jagannath Rath Yatra (Jagannath Puri Rath Yatra 2024) is going to be organized in Puri, Odisha on July 7. While preparations are being made in full swing in Puri, the railway department has also geared up for it and under the Rath Yatra, the Railways has decided to run 315 special trains, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav announced it.

It is worth noting that preparations are being made for the Rath Yatra from many days ago. Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav himself reached Puri Railway Station late night on 29 June and took stock of the special arrangements for the Rath Yatra.

Rath Yatra special trains will be run from these places

East Coast Railway (ECOR) said in a statement that Rath Yatra special trains will be run from these places – Special trains have been planned from Badam Pahar, Rourkela, Balasore, Sonepur and Daspalla, Junagadh Road, Sambalpur, Kendujhargarh, Paradip, Bhadrak, Angul, Gunupur, Bangiriposi on Gundicha Yatra.

Special trains also planned for Adharpan rituals of Rath Yatra

Apart from this, special trains have also been planned for Sandhya Darshan, Bahuda Jatra, Suna Vesha and Adharpan rituals of Rath Yatra. ECOR General Manager Parmeshwar Funkwal has inspected the arrangements to deal with the crowd of Rath Yatra at Puri station. Funkwal has instructed the officials to complete the arrangements in advance.

An important meeting was held in Delhi’s Rail Bhavan regarding Jagannath Rath Yatra

Let us tell you that in a meeting held at Rail Bhavan in Delhi on Friday, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has announced to run 315 special trains during the Rath Yatra. The railway minister gave this information to Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and his two deputies Kanak Vardhan Singh Dev and Parvati Parida. In the meeting, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that in view of the Rath Yatra, it has been decided that 315 special trains will be run from July 6 to July 19 for the Rath Yatra festival.
