Story of RJ Nilay…
Nilay (Sumanth) is a radio jockey. An accident changes his life as he dreams of becoming a great football player. It keeps him away from the game. A girl also dies due to Nilay in the same accident. Due to that guilty feeling, Nilay is plagued with suicidal thoughts. Nilay joins the radio jockey job to get away from that pain.
One day a girl calls his radio station. He says that someone kidnapped him and locked him in a dark room. At first Nilay doesn’t believe her, thinking it’s Frank’s call. He puts the conversation with the girl live. After listening to the girl’s conversation with Nilay, the police become convinced that she has indeed been kidnapped.
Nilay is entrusted with the responsibility of collecting details from the young lady. Who kidnapped the girl while speaking live from the radio station? How did Nilay collect the information about where it was kept? Was the girl really kidnapped?
Was she saved by the police with Nilay’s help? Who is Avantika who died in an accident due to Nilay? Did Nilay actually kill her? How did Nilay get involved in the drug case? The story of Aham Reboot (Aham Reboot Review) is how Nilay got rid of the guilty feeling he was suffering from for five years.

Aham Reboot is an experimental film with a single character. The entire story of this movie takes place in the backdrop of a radio show in a single room with a single character. Director Prashant Sagar Atluri Aham reboot movie as a psychological revenge thriller.

Only voices….
Apart from Sumanth, none of the other characters will be seen on screen in this movie. Only their voices are heard. The director leads the movie to the climax by showing Sumanth talking to them on the phone. In terms of story, Aham Reboot (Aham Reboot Review) is a regular revenge thriller movie. The director tried to tell this routine story anew with a single character.
With the suicide attempt scene…
The movie starts interestingly with the scene where Nilay gets involved in a drug case and tries to commit suicide due to fear of problems. The director made an entry into the original story from the scene where the girl calls Nilay’s radio show and says that she has been kidnapped.
Nilay collects information from the kidnapped girl through clues and gives it to the police, and the police officer’s efforts to save her are heard in the form of dialogues through phone calls. The twist at the end linking Nilay’s life to the kidnapping is good. It feels thrilling to reveal the secret of a murder case through that link.
Plus minus…
The single character ego has become a plus as well as a minus for the reboot movie. Sumanth appears throughout the film and tells the story only through dialogues, which gives the film a boring feeling. Being a single character movie, Aham reboot was made with just one-and-a-half-hour length.
Samu on the sword
Doing a single character movie is like a sword. It is not so easy to build a story while staying in one place and cultivating many emotions. Sumanth was largely successful in this endeavour. His acting is good as a modern young man who carries endless pain in his heart and as RJ who yearns to save a girl’s life. He brought emotions with dialogues. In terms of looks, he looked different from the previous films.
Sumanth experiment…
Single character movies in Telugu did not come much. Sumanth did this experiment with Aham Reboot. A good ego reboot can be a thrilling experience with patience.
