Mukhyamantri Mahila Samman Yojana
The Delhi government will give Rs 1000 every month to 40-45 lakh women under the Chief Minister Mahila Samman Yojana. The process of implementing this scheme has been started. Women and Child Development Minister Kailash Gehlot said that he has instructed the officials to expedite the process.

Minister Kailash Gehlot said that I have asked to prepare a cabinet note so that we can start this scheme as soon as possible. He said that the objective of this scheme is to provide assistance to economically weaker women. We want the women of Delhi to get the benefit of this scheme as soon as possible. However, CM Kejriwal is in jail right now, due to which the cabinet meeting is not being held.

Waiting for CM Kejriwal to come out of jail
CM Kejriwal is currently in Tihar Jail in the money laundering case related to the excise policy. Talking to the Times of India, ministry officials said that they expect the CM to be released soon. We have started the process regarding this scheme so that as soon as he comes out of jail, this scheme gets approval from the cabinet. Let us tell you that the AAP government had announced this scheme in the budget of 2024-25 and Rs 2000 crore was also allocated for it. CM Kejriwal had called it the world’s largest program for women empowerment.
Which women will get the benefit of the scheme?
- Women above 18 years of age can take advantage of this scheme. However, there are some terms and conditions for this.
- It is necessary for the woman to have a Delhi voter ID card.
- Government women employees will not get the benefit of this scheme. Also, those women who are taking advantage of any government pension plan will not get the benefit of this scheme.
- Women who pay tax will also not get the benefit of this scheme.
- Women who have a Delhi voter ID card and fulfill the above conditions will have to give a declaration form. Along with the form, you will also have to give your Aadhaar card and bank account details.
