Abhishek Sharma
Even all the stalwarts of Team India, who won the T20 World Cup (T20 World Cup 2024) recently, could not be a part of the feat that India, led by Abhishek Sharma’s stormy century (100 runs, 47 balls, 8 fours, 7 sixes), did against Zimbabwe (Zim vs Ind 2nd T20I) on Sunday at the Harare Sports Club ground.
And if this happened, then Ruturaj Gaikwad (77 not out, 47 balls, 11 fours, 1 six) contributed to it, and Rinku Singh (48 not out, 22 balls, 2 fours, 5 sixes) also contributed a lot. When all these three batsmen played the same “tone”, a mega record was made in the history of T20.

This record is not easy to break…!
In fact, to surpass this record, any team will have to cross a river of runs in a way because the feat that has been done against Zimbabwe has become a river of runs in itself. Yes, in T20, when it comes to scoring the most runs in the last ten overs of an innings, then Team India has become the boss in it.
This feat was achieved six years ago
The last time Sri Lanka scored the most runs in the last ten overs of an innings of a match was in 2007 against Kenya in Johannesburg. Then the Lankans had scored 159 runs in these overs. But now India has beaten this record by one run against Zimbabwe. Team India has become the boss with a score of 160. Afghanistan is at the third position in the last ten overs. It had scored 156 runs against Ireland in Dehradun in 2019, while New Zealand, which is at the fourth position, had scored 154 runs against the Windies in Mount Maunganui in 2020.
