Sarfira First Review: Akshay Kumar’s film will make you emotional, will not disappoint even after being a remake

Sarfira First Review

The National Award winner is set to helm the Hindi remake of the Tamil film Soorarai Pottru. Akshay Kumar is seen playing the lead role in the film. Akshay’s character is sharp-minded and has a dream that he will never give up on.

It is this passion and ambition that drives this remake, in which Veer is seen facing many failures and obstacles. The film is inspired by GR Gopinath’s book Simply Fly: A Deccan Odyssey. The film is set to release on the big screen on July 12. Even before the release of the film, there is a lot of talk about it on social media.

Akshay Kumar’s character Veer is an Air Force pilot dropout who dreams of creating an affordable low-cost airline for all. For which he goes to meet the powerful airline owner Paresh Goswami (Paresh Rawal). Despite the obstacles, Veer faces the obstacles due to his perseverance. His partner Devika (Radhika Madan) encourages him to move forward even when facing difficulties, and his small but loyal group of family and friends support his every crazy move.

The film’s director and writer Sudha Kongara is remaking her own Tamil feature film and knows the story well. In many instances, the story copies scene by scene from the Tamil film. It would have been nice to tighten up some parts of the story that keep repeating certain aspects of Veer’s life, explaining why he was inspired to start his own airline. Also, after a scene close to a plane crash, the story jumps back and forth in time and Veer faces several setbacks, mostly against Rawal’s character, and the many different takes on Akshay’s character may distract you.
