Staff Nurse Counselling
Kadapa Medical and Health Department has issued a notification for the recruitment of Staffers in November 2023 under Zone-4 (Rayalaseema Districts). When more than ten thousand applications were received, a selection list of candidates was prepared on the basis of norms and merit and counseling was conducted phase wise.
The job appointment documents were given to the eligible ones. The unemployed have already been appointed as contract staff nurses by the Regional Office of the Medical and Health Department.
Recruitment counseling was undertaken in four batches of one hundred people in each batch. In the fifth phase, 206 posts of staffers are to be filled in Madanapalle, Pulivendula and Adoni Medical Colleges. There was a disruption due to the coming of the Election Code. The TDP government formed after the election has stopped the appointment counseling process.
Confusion with retention of permissions
Confusion continues over the recruitment counseling of the fifth batch after four batches are complete. Delay in counseling of candidates selected for staff nurse posts is a matter of concern. The selected candidates are talking about when the counseling will take place. Candidates are worried about the decision regarding the appointment of staffers in Pulivendula, Adoni and Madanapalle Medical Colleges due to cancellation of permits for Madanapalle Medical College. They are doubting what will be their situation if the current recruitment is canceled and a new notification is given. The top officials of the medical and health department have already issued orders not to take up any appointments for two weeks. After the expiry of that deadline, the doubts of the candidates will be put to rest.
In the last five years, the previous YSRCP government appointed staffers with the aim of public health. The candidates are worried because the TDP government has withheld the orders while the fifth phase is to be completed after the completion of four phases. Will appointments be made according to the shortlisted candidates? Or will a new notification be released…? Doubts are causing them mental anguish.
