Come back to movies again. How are you feeling?
There is no film release from me for almost two years. For the audience to see me in theatres, I am eagerly waiting to see myself in theatres.
About your energy, accident?
Audiences love my energy. I injured my shoulder due to an accident. I felt that I should appear on the screen only after getting fully fit again and getting the previous energy. Hence the break. Now it’s great to be back in front of the audience with Darling.
How did director Ashwin Ram feel when he told this story?
Loved the script. I still like my character. It is a very challenging role. He has not done such a role till now. It was very challenging to perform this character with a sly personality.
I found it very interesting to cast such a character in a comedy, love story entertainer. Ashwin felt very excited when he said this script. A wonderful script darling that comes at a time when a good story is waiting.
Do you prefer energetic roles?
I prefer to pick roles that are entertaining. I like movies that are entertaining. I grew up watching fun and entertaining movies since childhood.
How about fun and emotional elements in Darling?
Darling is a complete entertainer with fun, love, family drama and thriller elements.
Did you do your homework for Slpit Personality Acting?
I approached in the zone of playing two different characters in one film. I did a lot of homework for this. I have seen many movies with split personality. Also, an acting specialist also came from Chennai.
What was your first reaction after hearing Darling’s script?
As soon as we heard the story, we decided to go to the sets and do it (laughs). Ashwin is an excellent narrator. As soon as he said that I understood how wonderful the movie would be.
