IND vs ZIM Player of the Tournaments
The Indian cricket team, led by Shubman Gill, won the series 4-1 by winning the fifth and final T20 match of the series against host Zimbabwe by 42 runs in Harare on Sunday.
Four players made their debut during the series. Different players played a role in the team’s victory, but all-rounder Washington Sundar was chosen as the Player of the Tournament.

Washington Sundar was chosen as the Player of the Match in the third match of the current series. In that match, he took 3 wickets for 15 runs in 4 overs. It was the first time in his career that he could win this award. In such a situation, he won the Player of the Series award on the basis of his bowling performance during the series against Zimbabwe. Sundar has been chosen as the Player of the Tournament for the second time. He has become the player to win more Player of the Tournament than Player of the Match in his T20 career.

Won the award in the Nidahas Trophy in the year 2028
In the year 2018, the Indian team won the Nidahas Trophy title in a spectacular manner. In that tournament, Washington Sundar was chosen as the Player of the Tournament. Sundar took 8 wickets in the tournament. Sundar became the Player of the Tournament at the age of 18 years and 164 days and broke Waqar Younis’ record of winning this award at the youngest age.
Became Player of the Tournament for the second time
Sundar took 8 wickets in 5 matches of the series with an average of 11.62 and an economy of 5.16. He also scored 28 runs in the series. Sundar has become the ninth Indian to be selected Player of the Tournament more than once in international T20. Virat Kohli (6), Suryakumar Yadav (4), Jaspreet Bumrah (2), Yuzvendra Chahal (2), Bhuvneshwar Kumar (2), Hardik Pandya (2), Rohit Sharma (2), Axar Patel (2) have become Player of the Tournament two or more times before Washington Sundar.
