BSNL Income
Ever since Jio-Airtel-Vodafone Idea have made their recharge plans expensive, the demand for BSNL SIM has increased. But the reality is that BSNL is not providing 4G service right now. And it is estimated that the company will start 4G service by the end of 2024 or 2025.
For this, the company is also doing testing. Meanwhile, the data of BSNL’s earnings and debt has come out. In which many surprising things have been seen. For example, BSNL currently has the least debt compared to all other telecom companies in the country. And its earnings have improved.
How much does BSNL earn
In the financial year 2023-24, the total income of public sector company BSNL increased by about three percent to Rs 21,302 crore.
Minister of State for Communications P Chandrashekhar gave this information to the Rajya Sabha in a written reply to a question. He told that in 2022-23, the total income of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd. (BSNL) was Rs 20,699 crore. He told that BSNL has received Rs 1.16 lakh crore from the revival package approved by the government between FY 2019-20 and 2023-24. The company received Rs 60,203 crore in the financial year 2023-24. The government has approved three revival packages for BSNL and MTNL.
How much debt on whom
In response to another question, the minister said that BSNL’s debt has come down to Rs 23,297 crore in the financial year 2023-24 from Rs 28,092 crore in 2022-23 and Rs 40,400 crore in 2021-22. According to the data, BSNL has the lowest debt among telecom companies. At present, Vodafone Idea has the highest debt of Rs 2.07 lakh crore. It is followed by Bharti Airtel with a debt of about Rs 1.26 lakh crore and Jio Infocomm with a debt of Rs 52,740 crore.
