The victim is in the final year of her degree in Bangalore. Went to a party with friends on August 17. A friend’s car hit the auto while going after the party. The incident took place near Forum Mall. This led to a fight between the auto driver and the victim’s friend. Then the young woman went on a bike. After falling down in the middle of the road, the auto got on. Seeing her condition, the auto driver took her to a deserted area and raped her. The young woman pressed the SOS button as her father and friend’s numbers were emergency numbers on her phone.

The rape attempt took place around 1 am. An emergency call and location were received from the victim’s phone. Friend called back but did not receive. Based on the location, the friends went to the place where the incident took place. When the friends arrived, they found that the condition of the victim was critical. The incident took place in the lorry parking area behind the showroom at Bandwi near Hosur Service Road. The young lady was lying flat on the back of the lorry. A cloth was draped over her body.
