Government employee’s salary
The government of Uttar Pradesh has given a shock to the government employees of the state! It has decided to freeze the salaries of more than 13 lakh government employees if they do not comply with the orders issued by the Yogi Adityanath government to declare their movable and immovable assets by August 31.
The real thing is…
In August last year, directives were issued for employees to submit details of their assets on the government’s Human Wealth Portal (Human Resource Management System). The government has recently said that these orders are applicable to all categories of officers and employees, and if they fail to comply with them, the salaries will be frozen, and they will be disqualified for promotions.
The government says all employees should declare their assets to prevent corruption and improve governance.
Actually, this process has already expired. But the UP government has been increasing the deadline for talks. Although the first December 31 deadline was extended several times to June 30 and then to July 31, only 26% of the state’s 1.78 million employees complied with the directive. Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh clarified that only those who submit the details of assets within the deadline will get salaries. As a result, more than 1.3 million employees are at risk of not receiving their August salaries.

In August 2023, the Uttar Pradesh government canceled the transfer orders of more than 70 regional forest officers and ordered an inquiry into the irregularities in the transfer, requiring all departments to upload and verify data of all government officers/employees on the Manav Sampada portal for merit-based online transfer of government employees. The chiefs were ordered.
On the other hand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said in an official statement on Thursday that there is a plan to create 2,00,000 government jobs in the next two years.
Yogi Adityanath said that the process of filling more than 60,000 police posts across the state will begin from Friday.
He made it clear that the local youth should actively participate in the upcoming job placements, and no one will question their abilities. He warned that if they try to endanger the future of the youth, they will have to face severe consequences including imprisonment and confiscation of property.
