Women T20 World Cup Schedule: India-Pakistan mega match will be held on this day, see updated schedule here

Women T20 World Cup Schedule

The International Cricket Council (ICC) on Monday announced the revised schedule of the upcoming Women’s T20 World Cup, according to which the Indian women’s team will take on arch-rivals Pakistan here on October 6.

The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup will start on October 3, earlier it was to be held in Bangladesh.

But after many players raised security concerns due to political unrest there, it is now being organized in Dubai and Sharjah. A total of 23 matches will be played at these two venues. The groups of the tournament will remain the same, in which defending champion Australia has been placed in Group A along with India, New Zealand, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.

Group B includes South Africa, England, West Indies, Bangladesh and Scotland. Each team will play four group matches in the tournament. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals on October 17 and 18 and the final will be played in Dubai on October 20. A ‘reserve day’ has been kept for both the semi-finals and the final. Sri Lanka and Scotland qualified for the tournament through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier competition held in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. 10 practice matches will be played from September 28 to October 1 before the tournament.
