Ganesh Chaturthi Guidelines
The police department has issued guidelines regarding the installation and dissolution of Vinayaka’s idol on the occasion of Gauri-Ganesha festival on September 6 and 7. The department has detailed the procedures to be followed while installing the idol and taking the procession.
All rules must be followed strictly. It has been requested that the festival should be celebrated with communal harmony.
Ganesh festival guidelines from police department
1. Before installing a Ganesha idol in a public place, permission should be obtained from the police station under their jurisdiction. The idol should be installed so that there is no problem for public and traffic. Idols cannot be installed on roads where there is crowding and traffic.
2. Action will be taken if donations or donations are collected forcibly and illegally for the installation of Ganesha idol and other programs.
3. A chappara/shamiya should be built as an arrangement at the place where the Ganesha idol is installed. For that, a license should be obtained from the BBMP force.
4. Ganesha idol should not be installed in disputed place. The permission of the owner of the place of installation should be obtained. The idol should be installed only after informing the police of this information.
5. Flex and boards cannot be installed as per High Court order. The guidelines issued by BBMP should be strictly followed in this regard.
6. It is mandatory to follow the guidelines issued by the Karnataka State Pollution Control Board regarding Ganesha idols.
7. Two responsible members on behalf of the organizer should ensure that untoward incidents do not take place at the place where Ganesha is installed. The police station should also be informed about this
8. Installation of CCTV at the place where Ganesha is installed is mandatory. Also, there should be fire extinguishers in place. Also, mobile number of fire brigade should be displayed.
9. No cooking wood, firewood, kerosene oil equipment should be kept in and around the Ganesh Pratishpana place. Also, no cooking is allowed on the premises.
10. Permission should be obtained from BESCOM regarding electrical decoration. NOC should be obtained from fire brigade and traffic police. The place should have light 24 hours a day.
11. Barricades should be installed at the Ganesha Pratishpana place to prevent crowding. Entry and exit gates should be properly installed.
12. Organizers are responsible for any crime committed at Ganesha installation site and during dissolution.
13. Organizers should ensure that girls are not teased and teased at the Ganesha-sanctified venue, entertainment program and dissolution program.
14. Loudspeaker should be installed so as not to disturb senior citizens, school children. It should be used from 6 am to 10 pm. Permission should be obtained from the local police for that. DJ installation is not allowed.
15. The name, address, mobile number of the organizer, chairman, secretary and office bearers of the Ganesha Murthy installation board should be provided to the concerned station.

Guidelines for Ganesha discharge
1. The organizers should issue identity cards, badges, t-shirts or caps to the volunteers to identify them during the procession. The procession should be conducted in a calm manner.
2. If cultural events are to be organized at the place of installation, the concerned police station should be informed beforehand.
3. Firecrackers should not be burst while marching in front of sensitive places, very sensitive places and prayer places. And camphor should not be applied.
4. The route of the Ganesha discharge procession should not be changed for any reason. Organizers are directly responsible for changes, then action will be taken against them.
5. Ganesha Varsha Bandha should be completed by 10 pm. Watch out for electric wires and tree branches while marching. All kinds of precautionary measures should be taken from the concerned department (Forest and KEB) to make the dispersal march a success.
