Released amid huge expectations, the film set sensational records at the box office. Breaking the till then re-release full run records with just the first day collections led to a big debate in the trade circles. According to the information provided by the trade sources, it is known that the film earned 8 crore 5 lakh rupees on the first day. Floods are threatening two Telugu states on one side, but still Isumantha did not affect the re-release of the film ‘Gabbar Singh’. It is needless to say that the level of flood disaster is especially in Vijayawada.
Even in such a region, the film got house Fulls. Apart from single screens only multiplex screens have been allotted for this film. Even so, the house was full. 40 lakhs gross receipts from Krishna district. Trade says it is an all-time record. The film grossed more than 8 crore rupees on the first day and grossed 68 lakh rupees on the second day. Also 43 lakh rupees on the third day, the film has created a sensation by making a total gross collection of 9 lakh 10 thousand rupees in the full run. It is not a small thing to set such records with movies that only fans can enjoy.
As it was released on a working day on Monday, the long run did not come as expected, but if it had been released on the weekend, the full run would have grossed more than 15 crore rupees, trade pundits estimate. Trade pundits say that ‘Gabbar Singh’ could not get proper shows in many main centers due to natural star Nani starrer ‘Saripodhaa Sanivaaram’, otherwise it would have raked in Rs 10 crore gross from Telugu states alone.
