Three spectators died of suffocation during an air show organized by the Indian Air Force (IAF) in Chennai. More than 200 people fainted.

Millions of people gathered to watch the air show. According to reports, people suffocated due to the huge crowd. Apart from that, a total of 230 people have fainted due to the hot weather and heavy crowd. Out of these, the condition of 93 people has deteriorated, and they have been admitted to a nearby hospital.

After the end of the program, people are struggling to go home. The Anna Chowk bus stand near the air show venue was teeming with people. Many have fainted due to the stampede-like situation. He has been treated at a government facility, a senior police officer said.

Although the aerial display by the IAF aircraft ended at 1:00 pm, the traffic near the Marina Beach eased after about three hours, police officials said.
