Martin Movie Review
One of Sandalwood’s high budget movies ‘Martin’ was released yesterday. The actor who is known as Action Prince by his fans has created interest through the film Martin Movie. Dhruva Sarja is one of the most followed actors in Kannada cinema, even though he has released only four films before.
Although he has been in the film industry for the past decade, he has acted in only a few films. Now the movie which fans are eagerly waiting for is released. This high budget movie is directed by AP Arjun. Multilingual actor Arjun Sarja has written the story for the film.
Martin’s movie is around Rs 75 crore. It is said to have been built on a budget. But it got the lowest rating in Book My Show. It is said that this has affected the box office as well. According to reports, ‘Martin’ has earned Rs 6.20 crore. According to reports, it earned Rs 5.5 crore in Kannada, Rs 25 lakh in Hindi, Rs 5 lakh in Tamil and Rs 4 lakh in Telugu.
Who is Martin? Who is Arjun? The movie is full of confusion
Martin is pitched as a high action entertainer. The film follows the exploits of Martin and his nemesis, Arjun, an IRS officer, who face each other in Pakistan. What happens next? Who is Martin? Who is Arjun? Where are they from? Such questions keep confusing the audience throughout the movie.

Full marks for Dhruva Sarja’s dual role performance
Dhruva Sarja tries to force the audience to answer all these questions in the first 20 minutes of the film. A familiar character trait in all Dhruva’s films is the loud nature of his character, which is not limited to just dialogue. Through this film we can see him in ‘full volume’ as he portrays two characters, the strict IRS officer Arjun and the crazy villain Martin. Dhruv’s screen presence is sure to please fans. But apart from Dhruv Sarja, none of the other artists have much scope or screen time in the movie.
The movie which was supposed to be a stylish action flick was a total disaster
AP Arjun, who also directed Dhruva’s debut Adhuri, is known for producing films filled with romance and family drama. So it can be said that it was very poorly done in Martin’s hands. A film that was supposed to be a stylish action flick turned out to be a total disaster on screen. From directing to VFX, CGI and more, Martin is massively disappointing in all other technical departments.
Neither music composer Mani Sharma’s songs nor Ravi Basrur’s BGM make an impression on the film. These songs resemble popular songs like Dilbar from Satyameva Jayate and OMG Daddy from Allu Arjun’s Ala Vaikunthapuramulu.. Ravi Basrur, who shot to fame with his work in KGF series and Salaar, has not been able to give the same magic to Martin.
Martin could have been a generic action thriller with a template story. But the high budget and pan India hype has increased. Even so, audiences in a festive mood might enjoy the film.
