Vettaiyan’ box office collection day 12.
Legendary actors Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Vettiayan’ is running in the theatres and has completed its second weekend at the box office. Despite a strong opening, the film has experienced a decline in ticket sales during the weekdays, although it managed to earn over the weekends.
On Day 12, the second Monday since its release, early estimates by trade analyst Sacnilk suggest that ‘Vettaiyan’ earned approximately Rs 1.85 crore, bringing its total domestic collection to over Rs 136.45 crore.
On October 21, ‘Vettaiyan’ recorded an overall Tamil occupancy rate of 14.13%, with morning shows at 13.36%, afternoon shows at 14.63%, evening shows at 14.39%, and night shows seeing no occupancy. The film had lower occupancy rates in Telugu 12.58% and Hindi 5.66% markets.
The film opened strong, earning Rs 31.7 crore on its first day, followed by Rs 24 crore on the second day, and Rs 26.75 crore on the third day. However, it saw a decline during the weekdays, collecting Rs 5.6 crore on the first Monday and dropping to Rs 4.3 crore on both Tuesday and Wednesday.
Directed by TJ Gnanavel, ‘Vettaiyan’ is an investigative thriller that explores themes of justice and corruption within the police force. Rajinikanth plays a cop known for his aggressive methods, while Amitabh Bachchan portrays Justice Dr. Sathyadev Bramhadutt Pande from the National Human Rights Commission.The film also features Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, Manju Warrier, Dushara Vijayan, and Ritika Singh in key roles.
