Heat will get more intense in the next 5 days! Know the condition of other states including Delhi-NCR, UP?

The weather has started changing its color even before the Holi festival. Heat has knocked in North India including Delhi-NCR. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has also issued an alert of mercury rising by 2-3 degrees Celsius at most places in the capital in the next five days.

According to IMD, the sky will be clear in Delhi-NCR from Monday. This will increase the day temperature. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 31 and 13 degrees Celsius respectively. The maximum temperature is likely to remain around 33 degrees Celsius till Wednesday. At the same time, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 32 degrees Celsius by Tuesday and 33 degrees Celsius by Friday.

Last Sunday, the minimum temperature was recorded at 11.9 degrees Celsius, which was five degrees below normal for this time of the year. At the same time, the maximum temperature was recorded at 30.8 degrees Celsius. The temperature was 10.1 degrees Celsius on Saturday and 13.9 degrees Celsius on Friday.

Heat will haunt these states

The Meteorological Department said that in the next 4-5 days, the day temperature in Northwest India including Haryana and Punjab is also likely to increase by 2-4 degrees. Maximum or day temperatures are 2-3 degrees below normal in many parts of the country, except in some areas of Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Punjab, where it is close to normal. But, IMD has said that now there will be a gradual change towards warmer weather.

Mahesh Palawat, vice president (climate), Skymet Weather, said no major weather activity is expected over northwest India now. This will increase the day and night temperatures. Next week the maximum temperature in Delhi will reach around 33 degrees Celsius and after that it will increase further.

Delhi’s air became better

Meanwhile, Delhi’s air remained ‘moderate’. But, there has been a slight decline in the last 24 hours. The 24-hour average air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 193 (moderate) at 4 pm on Sunday. At the same time at 4 pm on Saturday it was 167 (moderate). The Centre’s Early Warning System (EWS) forecast for Delhi showed that the AQI is likely to remain “moderate” till Wednesday.
