What did the Russian government say?
Regarding the attack, Moscow Governor Andrei Vorobyov said that he immediately reached the spot after getting information about the incident. He said that a task force will be formed to investigate the incident. Meanwhile, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin has expressed grief, calling the incident a major accident. Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova has called it a barbaric and bloody terrorist attack and has asked other countries to raise their voice against the attack.

America has also given a statement on the Moscow attack. White House National Security Advisor John Kirby, while reacting to the attack, said that the pictures of the incident are frightening. Regarding the incident, he said
‘Our condolences are with the people killed and injured in the incident. There will be many mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, sons and daughters who will not know about the incident yet. This is going to be a difficult time for them.’
America is being accused of not warning Russia about this attack despite knowing about it.

Earlier, the US Embassy in Russia had already expressed the possibility of a terrorist attack to the Russian authorities. It was told that some radical groups were planning an attack during a large mass event.
