India Zindabad: The Indian Navy rescued the hijacked Iranian ship Al-Qambar in the Arabian Sea. 9 armed pirates who had hijacked the ship were detained.

23 crew members from Pakistan who were on that transport ship were saved. With that, the Pakistani crew in that ship raised slogans saying ‘India Zindabad’. They thanked the Indian Navy for rescuing them from armed pirates.

Somali thieves

There were 23 Pakistani crew members in the Al-Qambar ship belonging to Iran. One of them stated in a video that they were hijacked by Somalia pirates around 3 pm on Friday and all of them were rescued by the Indian Navy. All 23 Pakistani personnel were seen in the video chanting ‘India Zindabad’. Following the operation, the Indian Navy announced that the nine surrendered pirates were being transferred to India for further legal proceedings, where they will face charges under the Maritime Anti-Piracy Act 2022.

12-hour operation

After rescuing the Iranian ship from Somali pirates, the crew including 23 Pakistani nationals were medically examined. After that the boat was thoroughly inspected. Earlier, the Indian Navy successfully rescued 23 Pakistani crew members from a hijacked Iranian ship. This operation continued for 12 hours. INS Sumedha and guided missile frigate INS Trishul also participated in this operation.
