Land Forgery: Aunt sold grandmother’s land in collusion, passport exposed the fraud

Land Forgery

Land Forgery: Jagran Correspondent, Dehradun: Land Forgery: City Kotwali Police has registered another case in the registry fraud. The complainant’s aunt, in collusion with the personnel of the sub-registrar office, not only got the fake registry done in the name of her grandmother, but also got it registered in the record room of the sub-registrar office.

The case came to light from the passport of the complainant’s grandmother. There was a difference in the name of the passport and the name of the registry. The city Kotwali police has registered a case against four persons including unknown personnel of Sub Registrar II in this case.

Nivesh Dhruv Dhindsa, a resident of Greater Kailash, New Delhi, lodged a complaint before the SIT (Special Investigation Team) that his grandmother late Sampoorna Dhindsa had purchased land on Circular Road. This land was purchased in the year 1994 through two sale deeds. According to the complaint, during the lifetime of the grandmother, she neither sold this land nor made any power of attorney in the name of any person.

The information about the land being sold fraudulently came to light for the first time when in a case of the year 2021, information was received about this property being taken out of the family category. Then it was found that his aunt Raminder Mann had registered it in the name of her daughter Jasminder. For this, a deed in the name of the aunt on behalf of his grandmother in the year 2005 was made the basis. However, this sale deed has been declared to be fake.

It has been said in the complaint that the grandmother has always written her name as Sampoorna Dhindsa, whereas in the registry filed in the Sub Registrar Office, her name has been written as Sampoorna Kaur. Regarding the clear name of the grandmother, the complainant has also attached a copy of her passport. In which the grandmother’s name is recorded as Sampoorna Dhindsa.

After observing all the facts, the SIT recommended filing an FIR in the case. On the basis of which a case has been registered in the city police station against Ravinder Mann, Jaswinder, Kuldeep Singh and unknown personnel of the Sub Registrar Office.
