International Space Station: The International Space Station (INS), considered the third brightest object in the night sky, was seen in the sky over Chennai on May 10.
NASA said that between May 8 and May 23, the ISS can be directly viewed from various Indian cities without the need for any telescope.

Several users from Chennai took a video of these scenes and posted them on social media. “Lucky to see the International Space Station live in Chennai today,” shared one user’s excitement. Another user responded, “Got a great view of the International Space station passing over Chennai tonight. Thanks NASA. ” A netizen tweeted that the International Space Research station was seen as a bright dot in the Chennai sky from 7.07pm to 7.09pm. Despite the cloudy sky. the ISS was clearly visible. Another user said that it is as bright as it looks.

INS was clearly visible in the Chennai sky around 7 pm on Friday and also at 5.02 am on Saturday morning. It was visible in the Chennai sky for six minutes from 5.02 am on Saturday morning. Also, it will be visible for four minutes at 4.14 am on May 12 and for another four minutes at 7.08 pm. Chennai residents can view the International Space Station for 6 minutes on May 13 from 5 am and 3 minutes on May 14 from 4.14.

“Just as the moon reflects the light of the sun, so the INS also reflects the light of the sun, so it is visible to people on Earth in that night,” NASA explained. Apart from Chennai, ISS is also seen in other cities like Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore at different times.
