Chardham Yatra 2024:
The doors of Badrinath Dham, the abode of Lord Vishnu who shines in Bhu Vaikuntha, have been opened to the devotees at 6am today with full rituals, chanting of Vadic mantras and chants of Badri Vishal Lal Ki Jai amid the accompaniment of an army band.

The chief priest enters the sanctum sanctorum of the temple and places the idol of Goddess Lakshmi in the Lakshimi temple at the Parikrama place. After that Badri Narayan was decorated and worshiped.

According to tradition, Bhavisya Badri Dham at Tapovan, 25 km from Joshimath, Banshee Narayan’s doors in Urgam Valley are also opened along with this, the doors of Ganesh, Ghantaka Naji, Adi Kedaresh war, Adi Guru Shankaracharya temple and Mata Murthy temple were also opened.
