Badrinath Temple:

The doors of Badrinath temple, a famous shrine, are open to devotees. Sri Badrinath Temple is located in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand.

The doors of the temple opened at 6 am today (May 12) amidst the army band. This program was conducted with rituals. Vedic chants along with chants of ‘Badri Vishal Lal Ki Jai’ echoed from all sides of the temple.

The temple was closed last November due to winter. After six months, the doors of this temple opened today. This temple is located at Koluvudiri on the banks of Alaknanda River. Devotees can visit this temple till November this year.

Hundreds of devotees thronged the entrance of Badrinath Dham on Sunday morning. The entrance was decorated with flowers.  The devotees were ecstatic to see this scene. They chanted Jai Badri Visal. Lord Vishnu is enshrined as Badrinath in this temple. The temple will be closed again from November 18.

Badrinath Yatra is an important pilgrimage in Hinduism. It is mainly maintained by devotees of Lord Vishnu. Badrinath is a holy town in Chamoli district of Uttarakhand India. It is located in the Garhwal Himalayas at an altitude of 3,133 meters (10,279 ft) above sea level.

Char Dham pilgrimage usually starts in late April or early May. Continues till November. After that, there is no darshan of the temple as winter begins.

Char Dham Yatra started in Uttarakhand on 10th May. Three dhams including Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamuna Otri have become bustling for the past two days.

A record 29 thousand pilgrims from India and other countries visited Kedarnath Dham on the first day. Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami… performed the opening pooja at Kedarnath Dham on the first day of the pilgrimage.

Due to weather conditions, the Chardham Kshetras like Gangotri, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Badrinath temple are closed between October and November every year. Again, they open for darshan of devotees between the months of April and May.

Devotees have the opportunity to visit this temple for about six months every year. Devotees visit believe Chardham Yatra every year.
