Prime minister Narendra Modi is reaching Varanasi today. The PM is contesting elections for the third time (2024 and 2019). He will hold a six-kilometer-long road show in Varanasi on Monday. He will file his nomination tomorrow.

One thousand drones have been deployed for a 15-minute light and sound show every evening at Dashashwamedh Ghat as part of PM Modi’s election campaign before he files his nomination papers from Varanasi on May 14. The show began on Thursday evening. The drones will be seen weaving different patterns in the night sky. Modi is the BJP’s candidate for the third time from the Varanasi parliamentary constituency, where polling will be held on June 1 in the seventh phase of the Lok Sabha elections. Over 5,000 ‘matri shakis’ will walk in the road show, Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) sources said.

On the second day, Tuesday, the Prime Minister will take a both in the Ganga River and file his nomination. Officials said that about 100 points have been made under 11 beats on the route of the road show, where people of Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Maheshwari, Marwari, Tamil, Punjab etc. communities will welcome Modi in their traditional attire.

Along with the people of Kashi, many ministers, MLA and senior officials will welcome Prime Minster Modi with Shehnai, Shankhnaad, Damru Dal. Narendra Modi will also go to seek blessings from Baba Vishwanath. Cutouts of eminent personalities of Kashi will also be in installed on the route of the road show.
