In this video, a person can be seen making something like Bhelpuri. Sharing the video in a humorous manner, this person is being linked to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
When Vishvas News investigated the viral video, it turned out to be misleading. The person seen in the video looks like PM Modi. This video is being made viral by some people with a sarcastic claim. The name of this person is Anand Bhai.
What is the viral post?
Facebook user Sahil Khan uploaded a video on April 27 and wrote, ” Saheb has already started work, the third phase is yet to come. The contest of the viral post is reproduced here as it is. Other users are also sharing it. The archive version of the viral post can be seen here.
What did the investigation reveal?
Vishvas News started the investigation with a keyword search. The team first went to YouTube and created some keywords based on the viral post. Then started searching them. We found a video report on a You Tube channel named News Nation. In the viral video. The news said that Anil Bhai Thakkar looks like PM Modi. He is a resident of Junagadh in Gujarat.
The description of this video uploaded on April 25 read, “This Golgappa Wala is becoming very famous in Gujarat, Anil Thakkar looks exactly like PM Modi, Anil Bhai Thakkar is a resident of Junagadh. Before him, his father and grandfather used to set up a Golgappa shop. Anil Thakkar has been setting up a Golgappa shop since he was 18 years old,”
Vishwas Nes furthered the investigation and contacted Jeevan Karpooria, Associate Editor of Gujarati Jagran. He informed that the viral video is of Anand Bhai, a person who looks like PM Modi.
At the end of the investigation, the user who shared the viral video was investigated. Facebook user Sahil Khan is followed by 3.8 thousand people. The user lives in Delhi.
