A big news is coming from Gujarat where a gas cylinder exploded in a junk shop in Palampur, causing health problems to many people. At least 89 people were hospitalized after developing health problems due to the gas leak.

Hospital officials said that after the explosion, gas spread in the area and people faced difficulty in breathing. One patient was in critical condition and was put on ventilator, while several others were discharged after treatment. A hospital official told news agency ANI that currently around 30 patients are undergoing treatment.

Police gave information.

Banas Kantha superintendent of police said that all the people admitted in the hospital are out of danger and investigation into the incident has been started. The gas leak incident came to light in the area near Malan Daraza in Palampur city area at around 6pm today. As soon as the information about the incident was received, the administration and police department immediately reached the spot. About 89 people have been rescued and shifted to Palampur Civil hospital, and none of them is in danger right now, “Makwana said.

People having trouble breathing.

Due to the spread of gas, people in the area started having trouble breathing. A video from inside the hospital has surfaced. A police officer said, and that 89 people have been rushed to the hospital.

Investigation into the cause of the incident is ongoing.

Banas Kantha SP Akshaya raj Makwana said, ‘a gas leakage incident was reported in Malan Darwaza area of Palampur around 6pm today. The team reached there as soon as the information was received 89 people have been shifted from the spot to Palampur civil Hospital. Everyone has been given basic facilities including oxygen. Everyone is fine. The investigation team is trying to find out the cause of the incident.
